I have a long distance relationship which I feel bored with now. I guess both of us feel bored with this situation, and we end up not contacting each other for a long time. I want to break up. Do you think "not contacting each other anymore" is enough for it, or I have to "officially"  tell the guy that I want to end it?

I've been there, and on your end of it. I have chosen both routes, and I have to say that telling someone up front feels a lot better. You never know when you'll meet again, and it does happen. Even if it's unpleasant, it's much better to clear the air and get it over with. Otherwise, you're left with a lot of questions when you meet again!

Thanks naturegirl for the advice. I am finding the best way of telling him about it. So far we have implied what we feel now by changing the way we call each other. Before we called each other with the nice and romantic nick names. Now we simply say "bro" and "sist" LOL.
