Buffet or Sit down dinner

Which do you prefer- a buffet or a sit down dinner?
I like buffets because this way there is usually something that everyone likes on the menu. If you have a sit down dinner it is usually more expensive too.
What are you going ot have?
I like family style service. What I've done in the past when home catering events... is prepare food for each table, then have one representative come up from the table and bring the tray of food back to the table for everyone, then everyone serves themselves from the food brought to the table. I do this instead of buffet service because so many people have young kids and it's hard for the parents to juggle three plates trying to get food for all the kids.
I like buffets too. I hate to be the last table picked to go get my food though (and most times it seems I pick the wrong table). I love the choices, you can certainly please more people by offering choices. It is much cheaper too than having a sit-down meal catered.
You ever go up twice at a wedding?
It doesn't matter. I am happy with both.
Weekdays Lunch - around 1,000 to 2,000 Rupees.
Weekend Lunch - around 1,500 to 3,000 Rupees.
Dinner varies from 2,000 and up based on the cuisine.
If you are a vegetarian, then going for a buffet is totally useless as you would get more value for money on the al-a-carte menu.
buffet system will do better to serve when there is lot of people in dining
I prefer buffets so I can choose the food I like and have more of it.
That is why I like buffets too. People can pick what they like. There is always more of a selection when having a buffet meal. I believe it might even be cheaper too.
I haven't yet attended a sit down party. I could say, buffet is good, you could choose fot the food you like. Someone, mentined about catered style? This is actually nice also and coomon to any party. However, I do suggest, what if you'll have a cocktail party on your wedding? :)
Even I would choose buffet over a sit down dinner. Its more fun that way, don't you think? n_n
