Catching Brides Bouquet and Garter

One of the Filipinos customs/traditions at the wedding reception/program is the throwing of brides bouquet participated by the single ladies and garter for the single gents.  Whoever catches it, there MIGHT be a possibility that you're the next to be wed.  This is the most exciting part on the program because sometimes it really happened.  But for the countless wedding i've been attended i was not really fortunate because got no chance to catch it yet,maybe because until now am still single.  What about to the other culture do you have such kind of beleif too?
