falling for my best friend
So, I had to go somewhere to get this off my chest...so here it goes:
I have known my best friend

for nearly our entire lives. He graduated hs a year after me, but we went away to college at the same time. I feel completely comfortable around him, I don't have to be a different person, he gets me. A lot of people ask me if we are going out, or what's going on. I reply that we are just friends, but I can't help but wonder. He is still in school and I have moved back home. I miss him so much and can't wait until he comes home on the weekends. I have no idea how to tell him, or if I should tell him. I am not a beauty queen by any means and am a "plus-size." I don't know how this would be taken by him, although I've always been this way. Every time I meet a guy, I compare them to him and eventually, they don't live up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
well first does he have a girl friend because if he is your friend you want to be respectful of the relationship he is in. If he doesn't then I would go ahead and tell him how you feel, the worst possible thing that could happen is he doesn't feel the same way, if it makes you uncomfortable to be around him after this then you weren't that close but if you go away from the rejection remaining friend he obviously has an emotional attachment to you and maybe you guys would try to explore it slowly and see what time and nuturing do. But if he automatically accepts and expresses that he feels the same way then wouldn't that just be the greatest feeling.
Are you sure with what you feel? I mean, you might just missed your friend. Anyway, if you are really falling for him, you should tell him. You have to check on his status first. If he is in a relationship, I think you better keep it. By the way, why do you compare the other guys with him? You should stop that. If you knew that he's happy with his life, I suggest you move on.
I think all notes brought up so far are correct, for me its a little different, I married my best friend and we were friends for the longest time before anything else came about. Have you ever mentioned this to him at all, or what does he say when people ask if you both are together?

Well you should tell him of course. He may not feel the same way but I swear to god, you'll regret it all your life not asking him about it. Just remember, there should be a time for everything, and you should know when that time is to say it.

Oh, I forgot to ask too if he's on to any relationship right now or not. Anyway, if he does not feel the same way and still sees you. Don't get too cocky. Because it does not mean he likes you too always.

Oops. You mean that it might just be an infatuation right? Geez.... That is something to look for.

What!? For real!? You're lucky. Not all bestfriends have that ending.
