Hi there, My fiance dose not like flying so we are thinking of getting the eurostar to france for our honeymoon. Hopefully spending 1 week in the south of france sunbathing and the other week travelling about.

Has anyone got the euro star before, if so what is it like, is the train service in france reliable.

Also looking for ideas of different places in france to visit, would love to hear your suggestions of towns, hotels, bars etc

Hi there,
French trains are generally very reliable. You can either get the high-speed TGV (Train a Grande Vitesse) or the normal trains. THe TGV is expensive but bear in mind that France is a very large country so it can take a long time to get from North to South!
Eurostar / Shuttle is an excellent service - it can be slow from London side but French side it is very fast.
Where are you thinking of going? We know France very well (when not photographing weddings I teach French to secondary school kids!!)
You will have a fantastic time - its a great country

This truly unique part of the world makes the perfect backdrop for lingering over leisurely dinners in extraordinary restaurants, exploring picture-perfect villages and vibrant cities with surprises at every turn, and basking in the finest flavors and scents offered by the country that practically invented romance.
