gowns for the plus size bridesmaid?

UG, I'm having only three bridesmaids, but it's making me crazy because they all have very different body shapes and finding a dress that looks good on all of them is next to impossible. I am especially having trouble because one of my bridesmaids is pear shaped and one is very chunky with large breasts.... oh and one is a cute little size 2.
I'm thinking about picking material and just letting each one go to town and pick a dress in whatever style they think will suit them best. Is it odd to have each bridesmaids in a different style dress if the fabric is the same?
My neice had many different sized bridesmaids and they were from different states. She told them the color dress that she wanted and each went out and bought what they liked in that color. It looked really nice! The best part for the bridesmaids is that they all bought a dress that was their style so they would be able to wear it again.
I'm plus size as well and trust me I had the same worries as you. Have you tried davids bridal? That's where I found my dress, and I love it!
I know it can be frustrating, not just finding a wedding dress but finding clothes at times...but it's no worries, you aren't alone.
If you can't find anything at davids bridal, why not just google "plus size wedding gowns" and I'm sure you'll find a list of stores in your area that may have a dress :)
Don't worry, there's a perfect dress out there for you!
As long as the dresses compliment each other, I think varying dresses on the bridesmaids is a great idea. It will make everyone more comfortable and attractive if they have a dress style that suits their body type. It will also improve the quality of your wedding photos....no one will look uncomfortable or stuffed into her outfit. An option is to vary the groomsmen outfits slightly as well, perhaps a different cumberbund or tie to carry the theme throughout all the attendants.
First select the list of bridesmaids and bring them together a fortnight prior to the wedding. Select your favorite style of dress code and have a regersal with samples. Then go for new ones and take measurements for new gowns, stitch it pefectly .your problem solved......
Well said ,my friend did the same thing in his wedding ceremony. He was lucky enough to have cute bridesmaids...
I don't find anything wrong with your solution of having the same fabric and color of dresses with different styles to fit their body shapes and sizes. The difference in style will make each one more attractive and comfortable during the wedding.
The key is to make sure that the bridesmaids feel comfortable in the dresses. You have to realize that they are forking out the money for this dress. It really stinks if you get a dress that looks horrible on you in addition to spending a fortune on it.

maybe something unique for once in a while is good..why not try it?
I disagree with the idea of having three different styles. While it's true that one style doesn't necessarily fit all, I still believe that the styles should at least be similar. Three completely different looking dresses with the same fabric seems a little odd to me, but then again, that's my opinion. I'm sure you'll be able to find a common ground where everyone looks wonderful.
There was lots of drama with my bridesmaids because one was plus size and she didn't want to wear a strapless dress or a dress that didn't have sleeves. The other bridesmaids were picking out dresses and the one was refusing each dress they all picked out so I made the decision to take that authority from them and I picked out the dress that they all wore since it was my wedding. I picked a dress that had short sleeves and that complimented each one of them very well. Sometimes, as the bride, you just have to step up and put your foot down to control drama. We go through enough stress with all the planning and we don't need to deal with it from our bridesmaids.
