Okay, when you have someone singing a solo at your wedding, what are you supposed to do while they're singing? We had three soloists in our wedding and my husband and I felt kind of conspicuous and didn't quite know what do with ourselves. Do you think you ought to limit the amount of special music?

YOu should have planned on which part of the wedding the soloists would sing. Some songs could also be sung during the reception.

I had alot of soloists in my wedding.  I love music during a wedding.  Two songs were before I even walked down the isle. One song was when we lit the unity candles.  Another song was during the ceremony and we just stood there listening.

I had one soloist at my wedding who sang 2 songs. One while we were standing up there together and one while we lit the unity candles.   I think it's personal taste. I know some people don't want long ceremonies, and solos certainly do take up time.
