I never gained weight

Not before the rush of getting the wedding together, after my first kid or even my second. Now I have and its dreading and just pulling me down. What are some good ways to get back into shape when you have never really been a workoutaholic?

Just watching what you eat is an easy way to start loosing weight. Write down everything that you eat in a day and then start cutting the bad stuff out. You can also use some online programs to help you keep track of what you eat in a day. Just google food diaries.
I am not a workoutaholic either but when I put on weight I try to really watch what and when I eat and go for a few more walks each week. Also stress tends to make me eat and not want to work out so I try to combat that with one or two Tai Chi workout tapes a week as well.
Though you are not a workoutaholic (and I am not either), it's better to do some moderate workout regularly. Also, get enough sleep. I know it sounds strange, but I ever read somewhere that due to hormonal reasons, we tend to gain weight when we get less sleep.
There are a lot of fun ways to work out. You should try something like Zumba. Working out is great for your health, but the best way to lose weight is watching what you eat. You don't have to cut out all of the sweets, just make sure you eat them in moderation. Cutting 500 calories a day will lead to losing 1 pound per week. Good luck!
I kept track of what I ate and had a very basic plan of attack. I also tried to up my general activities-- nothing specifically workout oriented, but rather, I tried to mostly walk a bit further or do a few calf raises in line at the grocery store. :D I also got into rock climbing, which I absolutely love!
