It really depends on the individuals.  If I drink rum or whiskey, I get a hangover.  If I drink wine, I am good.  On the other hand, my sister gets a hangover with just drinking one glass of wine.

Maybe just offer beer and wine and let the guest bring other drinks if they want them.

Some people say that the bubbles in champage give them a headache.

Some people say that top shelf liquor gives less of a headache.

Certainly, drink a lot of water before you go to bed, and it will help you!

Contrary to all other answers, alcohol is not a bad thing for a diabetic.
Type 1 just adjust insulin.

In type 2 it lowers blood sugar. Do it in moderation. I do about 6 beers a day. Granted its hard to keep weight down , but we have to live don't we.
If it was said : Excessive sex will shorten your life by a few years. I would say lets get it on. A good trade off as far as I am concerned.Same with beer. So be it. I would rather die happy than walking around being a sour puss.

Good luck my friend . Enjoy in moderation.

It depends on the person and what alcohol they can handle.  Each alcohol affects people different.  The trick is to take an aspirin prior to drinking a lot.  I have a friend who says the best way to avoid a hangover is to keep drinking.

I'd stick with the normal alcohol, beer, wine, etc.

Red and white wines are better because it has less alcohol content. All alcoholic drinks give hangover when taken sparingly. Drink moderately to avoid hangovers.

I don't think that there is any alcoholic drink out there that comes without the hangover.

You can do two things though; Firstly don't drinl so much that you will get a hangover, or eat something while you drink.

Over here in Spain, you don't just go out and drink, you eat with the alcohol and it is proven to have less of an effect on you. I am not suggesting you cook a huge meal, but just nibble on some finger foods.

Pretty much all the alcoholic beverages cause hangover, especially if they are consumed in excess. What I would suggest is that you ask your guests to bring their own drinks; that way, they know exactly what they can tolerate and what they actually enjoy. But regardless of what you are drinking, if you go over your personal limit, you will have a hangover anyways.
