I am so excited for the wedding and I want to know some opinion from all of  you. When you hire a photographer, were you the one who chooses the location for picture taking or them? If I would ask some suggestions from you, where could be a good place to take the pictures of the newly wed? When is the best time for this session, would it be before or after the ceremony?

I would definitely pick the location where I want the wedding to be at.  For example: a church, garden, beach, etc.  But as far as the location for actually taking the pictures, I think that there should be some communication.  For example, you may have a certain spot where you want to take a picture, but also, ask the photographer if they have any suggestions. If they are experienced, they may have some ideas about locations that you may have not thought of.

I like the idea of taking some before the ceremony to make the time after the ceremony shorter.

I like the pictures taken where the wedding takes place and where the reception takes place. It would make the pictures more memorable.
