Our home is not overly large and it fits us just fine without being too large to clearn or too small and feel cramped. I think sometimes people think that bigger is better, but they are also not thinking about how the place will be once its full. Just a thought for newbies who are home shopping now. :)

I agree. You can always upgrade and get a bigger home when your family gets bigger.  I'd suggest starting with something that you can afford without having to struggle to make your mortgage payments. Any size house can be made into a home.

Especially if it is just you and hubby and no children, I think mid-size is best. From experience, I can say that big houses become big headaches when it's time to clean.

Again I agree with you Antk.  My house is a bit on the small side now and I'd love a bigger house.  I've seen bigger houses that people can't afford and can't keep clean.  I should be happy with my house.  It's certainly a home and nice and comfy.
You buy what you can maintain but most important what you can afford.

I don't think I would be happy in a huge home. I agree that a home should feel nice and comfy. I think if it is to big, you'll have that lost feeling. Things will be to spread out.
