Opening Gifts

Does anyone open gifts at their wedding reception? I've only been to one in the last few years where they did open the gifts.  At mine, we had an evening wedding, so there was no time to open gifts, plus, we didn't have to worry about anyone being upset because we got duplicates of anything.

Well, we only opened the gifts when it was just us. We do not want the visitors to see them since there may be duplicates. Ha ha .

I did the same thing, it was after everyone left. But since most of them were cash gifts we didn't really need to worry about it. We just decided to do it later on because we wanted to spend more time having fun with the family and friends.
