Outdoor Weddings
Outdoor Weddings, oh my!
They are double the work of an indoor wedding. Just for starters, weather.. You cannot decorate early. If you're having the reception outdoors as well, you have to rent or buy cloth linens that won't blow away. You have to deal with bugs and dust in the refreshments, bees on the cake... Then, you have to remember handicap guests if the pathway isn't level or paved. Candles? Well, only if they are in hurricane's, or in vases that protect the flame. Take down is often immediately after the event.
At least with most indoor weddings, you can decorate a day or two ahead (some churches will let you take all week to decorate), who cares if the wind blows, and you can sleep-in the next morning before cleaning up the place.
I love outdoor ceremony's as long as everyone involved has the energy to pull it off.
