Pictures after the wedding

I've been to many weddings where the bride/groom, family and bridal party take off after the weddint to get pictures.  Some of these weddings they were gone for quite a while.  I didn't like this.

I'm one for quick pictures after the wedding, and also pictures before the wedding.

When did you get all the pictures?

Pictures are lasting memories of significant events in one's life. And the wedding is an important event that should be captured in pictures. I prefer pictures taken before, during and after the wedding.

I had pictures done before and after the wedding. Even though I had some taken before, I didn't take any with the groom before the wedding. So, all the ones with him were afterwards and it still took like 45 minutes.  I think a good photographer could do it in 30, but keep in mind, you do want the photographer to take lots of pictures, especially if you are doing them with family because you're bound to have some where some people aren't looking at the camera or have their eyes shut.
