Hello guys, how are you going to choose for your reader on the wedding ceremony? Will it be the lectors from the church or provide your own readers? I mean, choose from a family or friend. What do you think is the best?

I think it is nice if you choose someone who you are close to to do the readings for the ceremony.   This way you have more of your friends a part of your big day!

I would definitely go for friends and family. I'm sure they would be very pleased to participate. :)

I had my uncle, who is VERY religous, do all of the two readings for our wedding. I treated him just like part of the wedding party and got him a gift to thank him. Thinking back, I couldn't imagine anyone better for the job.

I read for a friend's wedding, and it was just as if I was in the wedding party.  It was nice to be able to help without the extra cost that goes with being a bridesmaid. I plan to have family members who aren't already helping out do the readings. My FH and I haven't yet decided who, though.
