I'm getting a small (0.60ct) marquise cut diamond, K colour (so will probably show some warmth) but it's VS1 with no or limited bow tie.  It's 8.17mm x 4.37mm.  I'm having trouble figuring how this will look on a size 6 finger AND I need design inspiration!  I want to have decent finger coverage but don't really want a halo (I've got so many halos I'm turning into an Angel ).  So I'm thinking trilliants BUT am open to all other suggestions.

Please show me your marquise cuts!

I don't have one to show you, just an idea. Have you thought about setting it E/W as a solitaire? Perhaps in a bezel (but not a halo)? 8mm would be great finger coverage for your size. I also think either trillions or pears would look fab if you set it N/S!
