We have recieved a few gifts from people that are NOT attending the wedding. So they sent the gifts super early.

What is the etiquette of sending thank you notes?
Does it wait until after the wedding?
Do we send them now?

I have had a few gifts that came early as well, those were from my friends who could not attend the wedding. I wrote the thank you notes and sent them out the same day. I am not aware of any specific way to send them out. Actually, I think what is more important is to remember to send them all out, more than when to send them out.

I would send them out now.  This way they realize that you did get the gift and know that you appreciate it.  In the thank you, you can tell them that they will be missed at the wedding.
