Was it a surprise?

When I was proposed to , it was a total surprise to me.  I loved it! 
He picked out the ring and everything on his own. 

Were you surprised or did you know he was going to propose?

I knew he was going to propose about 30 seconds before he actually did.  It was a surprise. I definitely was not expecting it when it happened.  Maybe I'm prejudiced because I like good surprises, but I think it's great when it is actually a surprise!

I knew when he was going to propose and I am glad that it was not a surprise. Besides, we had always talked about it and we didn't really care for the old fashioned get down on the knees and hold the hand type of thing. So, it was when we were at the beach together. He got the ring out of his pocket and said ''so, you still wanna do it?'' and I said ''of course I do'' and there it was  - I just don't like going with all the fluff and this was better than anything else for me.
