Wedding Colors

What is the correct number of colors for a beautiful wedding? My friend just married and she simply wanted blue for her wedding color. Her mother however, insisted she needed an accent color to go with the blue. What do you think....is a multi-color wedding a necessity?
It depends on the bride and groom's preference. I wanted so many colors for my wedding that it became a raibow wedding. One of my nieces adapted the color theme for her own wedding.
I'm with you on that, bridesmom. Nothing really compares it, when the brides and groom are the one to decide the color motif of their wedding. It's also up to them if they want to accept the suggestion of others regarding with its color. How about for those who alrady got married, how did you choose you motif?:)
I think that it is totally up to you. Lavender might look good with blue, or yellow if you're looking for more of a French theme. Even orange looks good with blue ... if it's a fall wedding!
But if she likes blue, go with blue. Unless it is overwhelmingly blue, most people won't comment or even notice!
I also think it's totally up to you. However, an accent color is nice, just for a little 'pop'. My colors were lavendar, perrywinkle & silver - BEAUTIFUL together!
I think you should do whatever you want. If you want a bunch of colors then that is what you should do. If you want just one color then that should be your choice. We had pastel yellow, lavender and silver for ours picked out but I think the yellow might be out. :(
