For my wedding, I used my mom's old wedding dress. I had it altered and added a few more beads here and there, made my own veil, and presto! I saved a lot of money.

I used my moms old wedding dress also.  I didn't like the neckline, so took it to a seamstress and she switched it up for me.  My mom didn't have her veil, but I had the seamstress make one that was just like she used.  I don't know if it actually saved me money by doing this, but it made the dress that much more special.

Urh! You should have seen my mums wedding dress. It was not the prettiest thing in the world.

I'm just so glad she hired it rather than bought it, otherwise I may have had to do the same thing.

I didn't wear a wedding dress because frankly they creep me out. I had a very beautiful gown with beads though and it didn't cost me a fortune to buy it either. I never really cared for traditional stuff; hence, I saved a huge amount of money for the whole wedding by doing things my way and not the way everyone else expected it to be done.
